Learning got hands-on and delicious for Year 2 students at Peninsula International School Australia (PISA) this week as they combined English and Science in an exciting, interactive lesson.
With a focus on procedural writing, students documented step-by-step instructions while exploring the fascinating world of solids, liquids, and gases. The best part? They put theory into action by making oobleck (a fun, non-Newtonian fluid) and whipping up scrambled eggs—both messy and mouth-watering experiments!
From sticky hands to sizzling pans, this experiential learning activity sparked curiosity, creativity, and some impressive writing skills. Who knew science and English could be this much fun?
