PISA Welcomes Students from China for a Vibrant Cultural Exchange

Last week, Peninsula International School Australia (PISA) had the pleasure of welcoming a group of students from the China University of Geosciences Affiliated School for the first time. The visiting students from Year 5, Year 7, and Year 8 engaged in an enriching cultural exchange, participating in both academic and hands-on activities that celebrated the diverse traditions of Malaysia and China.

During their visit, the students experienced subject lessons at PISA, gaining insight into the school’s dynamic teaching methods. A major highlight of the programme was the Teh Tarik-making session, where students learned the art of preparing Malaysia’s iconic pulled tea. They also crafted crystal “Zongzi”—a modern twist on the traditional Chinese rice dumpling, adding a creative and delicious element to the experience.

The visit fostered friendship, learning, and cultural appreciation, benefiting both the guests and the PISA community. In a wonderful extension of this partnership, PISA has been invited to visit the China University of Geosciences Affiliated School in October, strengthening ties between the two institutions.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates on PISA’s cultural exchange programmes and global initiatives!
