The 7th Global Chinese Recitation Competition Malaysia Division.
The Malaysian division of the 7th Global Chinese Recitation Competition, organised by the Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation of China, hosted by Peninsula International School in Australia, and co-organised by the Malaysian Alumni Association of Shanghai Normal University, has successfully concluded. A total of 145 students participated in the preliminary round, of whom 22 advanced to the semi-finals.
On the 15th of this month, the judging panel selected 8 participants from the semi-finals to advance to the global finals, where they will compete with participants from around the world. The 8 finalists are: Seng Jun Siang, Ng Suet Qi, Chung Yu Ze, Ryan Low Cheng De, Ong Xin Yi, Jason Yeu Jia Cheng, Cheng Yiii, Lee Jenn Yee (Names listed in no particular order).
We thank the expert judging panel members: veteran local theatre director and actor Amelia, experienced educator and part-time university lecturer Dr. Tan Chor Ter, and Ms. Blanche Tey, judge of the Global Chinese Language Festival, for their participation in the selection process.
Congratulations to all the winners in each category. Your performances make us proud. We also thank all participants for their support, which has ensured the success of this recitation competition.
